A clothing drive is a philanthropic activity that requests clothing donations from community members or a network of individuals for the benefit of a non-profit group or group of vulnerable people.
It’s that time of year again, time to dig deep into your closets and deeper into your hearts to help us make winter a little warmer for those less fortunate in our community with our Winter Clothing Drive. In conjunction with the local non-profit organization as well as community-based organizations and industry, we are once again asking for your help and donations for gently used or new winter clothing items to help those in need this winter.
Far too many families struggle each and every day to make ends meet and provide the necessary warm clothing in our frigid and unforgiving climate here. This coming winter season is just around the corner and will be upon us before we know it. I’m sure that many of us have the basic necessities to brave the impending season but let’s think about those that aren’t as lucky or privileged as we may be.
Please see attached poster for the upcoming Winter Clothing Drive taking place on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, from 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm at the main entrance.
All clothing is accepted! Immediate need for men’s clothing (jeans, pants, new underwear), clothing for boys aged 5 to 13, wool gloves and coats for all.
“We are currently accepting gently used winter items for donation, such as hats/toques, winter boots, warm coats/snow pants, mittens/gloves, etc. Donations can be dropped off anytime between 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.”
